Lot #3004 – 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor VIN 001 benefiting the National Forest Foundation and Outward Bound
Two vehicles, including a 2009 Shelby GT500 Super Snake from the George Shinn Collection, will be auctioned together to support humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – April 5, 2022 – Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, will continue the company’s 50-year tradition of giving back to the community with the sale of seven charity vehicles during the 2022 Palm Beach Auction, April 7-9, at the South Florida Fairgrounds. The vehicles to be auctioned, with 100 percent of the hammer price benefiting their respective charities, include the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor VIN 001 (Lot #3004) and the first retail production 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible (Lot #3005). Also featured in the selection of charity vehicles is a 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake (Lot #3003) from the George Shinn Collection and a 1986 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Indy Pace Car from Mark Pieloch’s American Muscle Car Museum Collection (Lot #3003.1) that will be auctioned as a pair to benefit Samaritan’s Purse and their humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.

Lot #3003 – 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake benefiting Samaritan’s Purse
Ford Motor Co. has donated the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor VIN 001 (Lot #3004) to benefit the National Forest Foundation and Outward Bound. The mission of the National Forest Foundation is to engage Americans into promoting the health and public enjoyment of our national forests. Outward Bound programs are designed to prepare students of all ages and circumstances with the strength of character and determination they need to thrive. This VIN 001 Bronco Raptor’s power comes from Ford’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine with specific Raptor-level tuning and paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Designed for desert running and boulder crawling, the Ultra4 Racing-inspired SUV features a high-strength steel frame, Ford Performance-developed axles, an advanced 4×4 system and High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system.
Offered from the world-class George Shinn Collection is a 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake (Lot #3003) will support Samaritan’s Purse for disaster relief and emergency medical care in Ukraine. This 750hp Shelby Super Snake is powered by a supercharged 4-cam 5.4-liter V8 engine backed by a 6-speed manual transmission with a 3.73:1 rear end showing 6,484 actual miles. Finished in Vapor Silver Metallic paint, the car features a carbon-composite hood with full-width scoops and hold-down pins, a carbon fiber front splitter, mirror covers and rocker panels. Carroll Shelby signed the black interior of this Super Snake, which is No. 309 built in 2009.
The matching-numbers Official Indy Pace Car 1986 Chevrolet Corvette convertible (Lot #3003.1) also benefiting Samaritan’s Purse and sold as a pair with Lot #3003 is offered from the renowned American Muscle Car Museum out of Melbourne, Fla. It is one of 735 built and is powered by a tuned-port fuel-injected 350/235hp paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission with only 9,325 actual miles.
One of the most highly anticipated vehicles to be auctioned for charity is the first retail production 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible (Lot #3005). The Z06 is powered by the all-new 5.5-liter LT6, the highest horsepower naturally aspirated V8 to hit the market in any production car ever, at 670hp. An all-new flat-plane crankshaft design entices drivers to push the tachometer to a lofty 8,600 rpm, filling the convertible cockpit with a distinctive, rich exhaust tone unlike anything ever heard from a Corvette. The winning bidder will get to select the car’s exterior and interior colors with 100 percent of the hammer price benefiting the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
